What a gem couldn’t fault it ! :)
Not sure why others would leave negative reviews about this place, it’s true the bathroom is not ensuite but a footstep away from bedroom. It is one bedroom with adjoining bathroom both behind a decorative curtain so still very private and another bathroom for two further bedrooms. This was a fab guesthouse a stone throw from the bars shops and restaurants. We were contacted by the hotel to check if we had directions on the morning we were due to travel and were made to feel welcome immediately on arrival. It was relaxed atmosphere and we felt very comfortable coming and going. The decor was very nice, each room carefully co-ordinated and the bed was clean and comfy what more can you ask for? We were offered choice of breakfast the next morning and got just what we asked for. Ann’s friendly approach made our stay hassle free would definitely return and would highly recommend to others. Ulverston is a good night out with several bars and restaurants to choose from. Great little champagne bar too! Would recommend it especially during one of the carnivals or festivals. The town was bustling.

Stayed here during the Ulverston International Music Festival and it was perfect.
Close to the town centre, not at all noisy (even on a Friday night) very comfortable bedroom and a superb breakfast. What more could I ask for?

Ulverston half-term break
We were much earlier than anticipated and as soon as we got to the B&B our room was ready for us. It was very clean and spacious. Much nicer than our last stay at another B&B around the corner. The owner, Anne, was lovely and went out of her way to be accommodating since we had 2 small children. She went above and beyond accommodating all of us. A fantastic 3 day stay in a lovely, spacious B&B that felt like home. Every time I visit Ulverston I will stay here. To add…the breakfasts were Wonderful too!

Ulverston Stopover
Business drew me to the South Lakes and this accommodation is ideally based, in the centre of the town and ideal for evening dining. Escorted to room, shown the facilities and local eateries recommended. Would recommend to anyone travelling on business or pleasure and rooms adequate size for couples and children.

Great service
Lovely room and very accommodating, the owner even gave us a lift back to get our car in the morning as we were visiting relatives and had left it there the night we stayed… very kind!

A good place to stay.
Decided to stop for a one night short break. The accommodation was really good in terms of food and value. There were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, and lots of walks to burn of the excess from the night before. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who loves good value for money.

Relaxing Break in Ulverston
We decided to go to Ulverston at the last minute. On arriving in Ulverston by train, we had no problems finding the building, which is really well located about 10 minutes walk from the station. It is ideally placed for access to the town centre, where there are a multitude of nice places to eat, drink and explore from pubs to tea rooms and from curiosity shops to Tesco in the main square. We were presented with a warm and friendly welcome on arriving and shown to our room which was as described and much to our satisfaction. The house itself is lovely with a lounge and dining room downstairs and rooms upstairs. Breakfast was great in the morning; cooked to request as, when and what we wanted! Our bathroom, across the landing from the room was beautifully decorated, with a freestanding tub in the middle of the space with wooden floorboards.
Overall we couldn’t ask for more and we had a lovely night in Ulverston; thank you! We would not hesitate to recommend to all.

Lovely weekend in Ulverston
The building is stunning and the position in the town excellent. We stayed in the large master bedroom which is beautiful with the centre piece being the large four poster bed. The landlady Ann made a lovely breakfast in the morning. We will definitely stay there again and Ulverston is a lovely old market town to visit which has a perfect combination of cobbles and cute shops and pubs.
